Job description

An EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity)/Affirmative Action Administrator ensures that an organization complies with equal employment opportunity and affirmative action laws and regulations. This role is pivotal in fostering an inclusive and diverse work environment and ensuring the organization's compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The EEO/Affirmative Action Administrator is crucial in maintaining fair and equitable employment practices within the organization.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Policy Development and Implementation:

· Develop, implement, and monitor nine Affirmative Action Plans (AAP) and one Corporate AA Plan action and equal employment opportunity policies and programs.

· Ensure organizational policies and postings comply with federal, state, and local EEO laws and regulations.

· Outreach to appropriate organizations utilizing America’s Job Bank and other resources for recruiting as required. Work with the Talent Acquisition function in both recruiting and required language for advertisements, Self-Identification requirements, postings.

· Work with Marketing on the appropriate diversity information for dissemination.

2. Compliance Monitoring and Reporting:

· Prepare and submit required compliance reports, such as the EEO-1 and Affirmative Action Plan (AAP).

· Conduct internal audits of EEO and affirmative action compliance and address any issues found.

3. Training and Education:

· Develop and conduct training programs for managers and employees on EEO and affirmative action topics.

· Educate staff about their rights and responsibilities under EEO laws and policies.

· Annual presentations to Leadership on the results or actions and Goal Setting.

4. Recruitment and Hiring:

· Work with HR to ensure equitable recruitment and hiring practices.

· Advise on strategies to recruit a diverse workforce.

6. Data Analysis and Reporting:

· Analyze employment data to identify trends and issues in hiring, promotion, and retention.

· Prepare reports for management on the effectiveness of EEO and affirmative action initiatives.

7. Community and Employee Relations:

· Serve as a liaison between the organization and relevant external agencies.

· Address concerns raised by employees and external stakeholders regarding EEO and affirmative action matters.

8. Continuous Improvement:

· Review and update EEO and affirmative action programs to address organizational changes and legal developments.

· Recommend improvements to policies and practices.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field desired, two-year degree required.

· Knowledge of EEO, affirmative action, and related laws and regulations.

· Working knowledge of and ability and desire to learn all applicable Federal and applicable states’ including but not limited to: E.O. 11246, E.O. 13496 and all implementing regulations, the Rehabilitation Act of 1974 and the implementing regulations, 41 CFR 60-1.4 (a), VEVRA, USERRA, The Equal Pay Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, DFWA, ADA and all other applicable Federal, State and local laws as they apply.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Experience in conducting investigations and conflict resolution.

· Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and discretely.

· Professional certification in HR or related areas.

· Prior experience in an EEO/Affirmative Action role desired.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Office setting, with occasional travel for training or meetings.

· Regular use of computers and office software.

· Five Day in office work required.

Salary: $60,000

Not-Remote – M-F 8 am-5 pm
