Summary

Perdue AgriBusiness is in search for a  Union Grain Laborer in Chesapeake, VA .  The Union Grain Laborer is responsible for providing housekeeping and general labor duties throughout the grain elevator.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform routine housekeeping requirements as directed.
• Perform other routine labor tasks as directed.
• Perform all work within the safety guidelines established by local state, and federal agencies as well as company policies.

Minimum Education

• High School or GED (required)
• Further education is preferred

Experience Requirements

• TWIC application is required
• Outdoor work experience preferred 
• General industry safety knowledge
• Must possess basic computer skills and be familiar with operating a process from a computer-based system
• Multi-tasking a must

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Able to move freely throughout the agribusiness facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 -150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 lbs.), exposure temperatures (0-100) degrees Fahrenheit, humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available).  Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus.
