Job description

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with preference to those candidates that reside in the Provo, Utah area.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our team and play a key role in supporting, developing and operating a cutting-edge commissioning platform. Ongoing improvements to this this platform are instrumental in streamlining our commissioning processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the quality and performance of our systems.



Responsibilities:

• Support, design, develop, and implement core components of the commissioning platform, including:

• jBASE database integration for data storage and retrieval
• APIs for seamless communication with external systems
• Event messaging for efficient data flow and real-time notifications
• Custom user interface for intuitive user experience and data visualization
• Ensure the platform is reliable, secure, and meets industry best practices
• Implement strategies for scalability to accommodate future growth
• Design and develop the platform with composability in mind, allowing for easy integration and reuse of components
• Optimize platform performance and cost efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, operations, and product managers
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in software development
• Strong experience with MVBasic on UniVerse or jBASE platforms
• Proficient in API development and integration
• Familiarity with event messaging systems
• Experience with designing and building user interfaces
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Bonus points:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Understanding of cloud computing concepts is a plus
• Experience with commissioning processes
• Experience with DevOps practices
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
