The Office of Graduate Studies at Towson University is accepting applications for a full-time Program Administrative Specialist. Under general supervision, this position provides complex administrative support to the Dean and Associate Dean Graduate Studies. Work requires comprehensive knowledge of the Office of Graduate Studies and Graduate Student Association, budgeting, skill in working with issues related to policy, procedures, and confidential matters, and involves considerable participation in the work of the supervisor. Incumbents exercise discretion and judgment with considerable consequence of error.
Responsibilities and Duties
There are three main areas of responsibility for this position, which include:
Graduate Student Association (GSA) Management
Dissertation, Thesis, and Commencement
Office of Graduate Studies Operations
Beyond the primary areas of responsibility, the following are expectations of the position:
Telework may be available for this position up to two days per week following the completion of 90 days of service in good standing.

Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
Salary and Benefits
$49,619 annually and full University benefits that include annual leave, up to 15 holidays, personal and sick days; excellent health, life, and retirement plans; and tuition remission.
