Job description

Seeking someone who has relationships they can bring to the table. Italian wine sales experience. 

This role is responsible for leading and managing the National Sales initiatives for the off-premise national chain business in the Grocery/Mass channel segment with a focus on Costco, Walmart, Kroger, Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, Total Wine & More and Target. The National Sales Manager will grow revenue, increase profit and gain market share by leading customer planning, development and brand building execution, and measurement of priority brands initiatives. 

• Ensure brand standards, KPIs and sales drivers are simple, commercially applicable, measurable, clearly understood and communicated to key customers. Identify and develop core key sales management processes and train sales team on approach (i.e. Program Planning Process, merchandising relevance and standards, customer presentations and negotiations). Ensure programs developed and executed are being leveraged for feature and display.
• Strategic expert in national key customer business drivers and inhibitors. Develop national customized shopper-based activation plans for strategic customers in line with customer business drivers, national programs and brands that are aimed at driving consumer pull and overall sales revenue growth. Develop and ensure utilization of fact-based selling materials that result in successful sales results for key brands/customers. Develop KPIs, implement plans and execute KPIs to reach objectives.
• Ensure alignment of priorities, by customer and brand. Provide guidance and direction on new item strategic priorities for key customers/markets as it relates to strategic brands. Ensure resource allocation and execution are aligned by individual and measurements are in place. Lead, develop and manage fiscal year plans across key customers and focus chain markets. Communicate updates to all stakeholders and assist with prioritization. Ensure sales materials are high-quality, professional and compelling for trade.
• Develop and lead Program Planning process to ensure strategic brand plans have short and long-term channel-specific plans and tactics that align with overall Brand/Country/State Priorities. Reconcile brand/portfolio issues with sales and marketing teams. Lead cross-functional development and direction of national or customer-specific brand promotions.
• Manage agency work on brand projects and programs, ensure execution against activity calendar and act as liaison between agency and National Accounts team where needed. Manage agency work on all assigned new business development projects as needed.
