School Nurse (Per Diem/ Sheppard Pratt School - Southern Schools)

Job description
As a School Nurse you will:
- Be responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, administering, documenting, and evaluating student nursing care geared to emotionally disturbed and/or autistic children and adolescents, in accordance with Individual Education Plan (I.E.P.) and team treatment plan
- Administer medical treatment as prescribed
- Teach and provide psychosocial support for students
- Administer influenza shots and provides other employee health nursing services to school staff as needed
- Assist teaching/classroom staff as needed
Requires: - Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maryland at the time of appointment and continuously throughout tenure (or must have license by time of hire).
- At least 1 year of related experience working with children or adolescents. Previous experience in a school setting and/or with individuals with primarily emotional and behavioral disabilities and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) strongly preferred.
- AHA CPR required before first day of employment
