About Bancroft's NeuroRehab Program:
For those requiring supervised living, Bancroft NeuroRehab offers an array of residential group homes and apartments in attractive communities throughout central New Jersey. Services include customized supervision, access to social, recreational and spiritual activities, behavioral programming and more. We provide transportation to and from day programs, outpatient rehabilitation services, medical appointments and community activities.
Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of a licensed Psychologist, administers neuropsychological tests.
Essential Responsibilities
- Under the direct supervision of a licensed Psychologist, administers neuropsychological tests in accordance with regulations, standards, and guidelines defined by the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), N.J. State Board of Psychology and APA Code of Ethical Practice, Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Individual Program Plan (IPP), and established Bancroft policies and procedures.
- Assessment: Under the direct supervision of a licensed Psychologist, administers assessments as needed or as assigned:
- Administers tests evaluating cognitive abilities, achievement, adaptive behavior, emotional functioning and other neurocognitive skills;
- Observes and records behavioral information during the assessment
- Scores tests and may draft reports documenting the results of neuropsychological/psychological assessments and recommendations to submit to the supervising Neuropsychologist for review;
- Will need to be able to travel to all BNR sites (Mt. Laurel, Toms River, and Plainsboro) for test administration
- Administrative:
- Manages testing materials and orders new materials across sites
- Files charts and paperwork
- Maintains contact and follows-up with offices of referral sources about receiving faxed reports
- Enters data into database system
- Gathers needed records for upcoming outpatients and prepares needed paperwork and consent forms for upcoming evaluations
- Assists with scheduling feedback and coordinating test space
- Conducts research data collection/analysis as needed.
- Follows state-approved emergency procedures and utilizes Bancroft-approved crisis intervention techniques at all times.
- Serves as a role model to persons served by projecting a positive self-image of professionalism, appearance, confidentiality, courtesy, conduct, honesty, fairness, personal integrity, and a respect for the fundamental rights, dignity, and privacy of others.
- Under the direct supervision of a licensed Psychologist, performs other direct service as assigned or as necessary. Remains flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by rehabilitation needs.
- Abides by the Bancroft NeuroRehab Code of Ethics, Mission Statement, and Vision Statement in promoting ethical behavior, establishing relationships and providing guidance in decision-making situations.
- Remains current with required training certifications, meets state-regulated licensing and regulatory accreditations, and adheres to mandatory requirements.
- Maintains effective verbal and written communications with colleagues, those served, and their family members and/or guardians when applicable.
- Willingly and effectively cooperates with Bancroft NeuroRehab, The Department of Human Services, The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), and other licensing or state agency or local municipalities in any inspections and investigations, upon request.
- Maintains a safe and respectful environment, free of abuse, neglect, or exploitation; does not allow weapons, threats, bullying or intimidation.
- Reports any violations to the appropriate individual as soon as the incident occurs.
- Maintains levels of supervision as defined in behavior plans; e.g., Individual Program Plan (IPP), Individual Rehabilitation Plan (IRP), Individual Education Plan (IEP), Individual Service Plan (ISP), etc., when applicable.
- Demonstrates Bancroft’s core values in the performance of position responsibilities.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred. Prefer to be currently enrolled in an approved graduate program in psychology. Experience administering psychometric assessments.
Special Skills :
Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required with a strong desire to work with neurologically-challenged individuals. Ability to work independently and as an integral part of a team required. Valid driver’s license required in incumbent’s legal name and current address with no provisional restrictions. Minimum 18 years of age required.
