Job description
Roman Jewelers is a family-owned retail jewelry store located in Bridgewater, NJ. We are looking for a part-time, Saturday and/or Sunday, host/hostess/greeter with outstanding customer service skills—a real "peopleperson". We would like to experience store. If you enjoy meeting new people and are striving to provide exceptional customer service, we would love to meet you. You can work either both or only one of the weekend days. Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome customers as soon as they enter the store
- Offer a beverage to the customers
- If the customer is waiting, make sure the customer does not feel ignored
- Introduce the customer(s) to the appropriate salesperson
- Answer the phone if needed
Qualifications:
- For this position, a high school diploma or the equivalent GED is needed, as well as a good understanding of how to speak and read English
- Thrive in a fast-moving environment while working in a team situation with extended hours of standing to be expected
- Must have excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills, as well as the ability to deal with customer requests in a courteous, efficient, and timely manner
- Must be available to work Saturdays and/or Sundays
- Must be friendly and outgoing, enthusiastic about greeting customers, and providing the best customer service as soon as the customer enters the store
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time
- Must have excellent people skills, time management, and the ability to handle customers' requests with a pleasant demeanor
