*About the Position:*

The Division of Special Education and disAbility Research in the George Mason University College of Education and Human Development invites applications from highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach a diverse array of undergraduate and graduate courses in Special Education: Students with Disabilities who Access the General Curriculum (i.e., high incidence, mild/moderate disabilities) program to begin Summer 2024. We have a high level of need for instructors with coursework and professional experience in math and literacy methods as well as assessment. The General Curriculum program at GMU is a state-approved initial licensure program and offers fully online, hybrid, and in-person courses.

*Responsibilities:*

Adjunct faculty are part-time appointments appointed to fulfill the teaching and advising responsibilities associated with a specific course (or a set of specified courses) on a semester-by-semester basis.

*Required Qualifications:*

* Ph.D./Ed.D. in Special Education or related field for graduate level instruction;
* Master's in Special Education or related field for undergraduate level instruction; and
* Content expertise that matches courses in division-based programs, (e.g., explicit experience in assessment and/or methods-based instruction in reading/literacy and math).
