Maria DB Admin // Remote
Job Description:
We need primary Maria DB admin with MSSQL and Azure SQL cloud DB admin. Secondary skills could be MySQL DB admin.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide daily support for ServiceNow Incidents, Requests, and Change Requests
Provide support for any Disaster Recovery test.
Make sure that all database instances are being backed up and monitor daily backup report to make sure that nightly backups were successful. Report any backups that failed to Backup Support
Perform frequent restoration test to ensure that backups are working properly.
Make sure that all database instances are being monitored by AppDynamics or whatever monitoring software is being used.
Provide support for Linux OS patching.
Responsible for any minor version upgrades
Perform Quarterly MSSQL / MySQL Account Audit
Hands-on experience in Azure SQL Server Database Administration.
Knowledge on procuring and managing Azure cloud database servers and services in PaaS and IaaS cloud solutions.
Must have good experience in Azure SQL backups and restorations.
Responsible for planning upgrades, and migrations of existing On-Prem DB environment to Azure cloud.
Exposure to working with SQL databases in Azure environment and knowledge of managing Azure resources to ensure optimal performance in Azure environment.
Resolving complex issues involving database performance, database capacity, stability, and other key aspects of database technology.
