Position Summary:
The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) provides strategic and innovative leadership as the senior executive responsible for the delivery of exceptional nursing care to our patients across the St. Luke’s Network. As a member of the senior executive team, the CNO works closely with C-Suite peers and the Board to execute the organization’s strategic plan and organizational initiatives, while representing nursing concerns and initiatives with the governing board and medical staff .
The CNO assumes responsibility in establishing systems and organizational structure to support achievement of the overall vision and strategic direction of the organization as well as implementing operational strategies, performance metrics, and financial opportunities. CNO is accountable for exhibiting the FACES culture in all work interactions, promoting teamwork and cross unit collaboration while ensuring high quality, compassionate nursing care across The St. Luke’s Network .
Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required, and Master’s Degree in Nursing or Related field (Health Administration, Business, or Management) is required
Experience: Minimum 7 years of progressive leadership experience as Nursing Director, ACNO preferably in a large multi-disciplinary hospital or system
Licensure: Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice is required
