This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at La Jolla and remote.
UCSD Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is growing in the diverse areas of professional educational programs, cutting-edge research, and pharmacy services. Under the direction of the Associate Dean of Business and Fiscal Affairs, incumbent provides programmatic support to the Office of Admissions in the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Pharmacy, including preparation of admissions material, coordination of committee meetings, and processing of admissions expenses. Responsible for preparation and review of individual applications, conducting independent counseling to applicants and prospective applicants, and communicating with admitted students. Serves as liaison with current pharmacy students supporting the admissions and recruitment process. Completes special projects for the Associate Dean of Business and Fiscal Affairs as needed. Attends conferences as needed for purposes of recruiting and providing information to applicants.
Applies skills as a recruitment and / or admissions professional. Provides substantive information on student programs for the organization or in college / school / department. Performs recruitment activities. Evaluates and makes determinations regarding applications for admission using established guidelines.
Six years of related experience, education/training, OR an Bachelor's degree in related area plus two years of related experience/training.
Knowledge and experience working with a diverse student population.
Working knowledge of UC, and the ability to interpret policies and procedures to prospective applicants and the public.
Working knowledge of academic programs, including curricula, admissions requirements, and financial aid programs at UC.
Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with schools, universities, community organizations and other institutions.
Working knowledge of admissions requirements for campus / school / college.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to work with other offices at UCSD, including the Registrar, the Residency Deputy, and staff in the Business Application Development Group.
Employment is subject to a criminal background check.
Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $56,700 - $97,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $27.16 - $46.70
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
