This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule (3 or more days onsite a week.)
Job Summary:
The systems product manager is responsible for leading the development and maintenance of the HVAC systems product strategy. This position will identify new system development needs and play a key role in messaging and commercialization of all systems. It will be responsible for driving maintenance and improvement of existing systems. Common activities will include competitive analysis, business case development, technical commercial material development, system promotion, and some field sales support. This position requires technical depth, sales aptitude, and business acumen. It requires an ability to organizationally network and effectively operate at the intersection of system development, sales, technical support, and business needs.
• System strategy development and maintenance
• Competitive analysis and market segmentation
• Plan and guide system commercialization with the marketing team
• Provide input to equipment and controls technology pipelines.
• Collaborate with equipment and controls product managers to include systems ready requirements into new product development programs.
• Develop and maintain system literature and web presence including system catalogs, customer presentations, videos, and other necessary commercialization material.
• Represent systems at sales office and customer visits.
• Lead systems field council meetings and plans
• Participate in systems development programs guiding requirements and priorities.
• Business case development
• Provide key technical support in pursuit of Trane business, including participation on strategic job acquisition teams.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations for customers and industry association events.
• Travel 5 – 20% depending on commercialization demand
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• A Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a strong HVAC background.
• A minimum of 15 years HVAC related experience.
• Business background and experiences and/or an MBA is a plus.
• Completion of the Trane Graduate Training Program is desirable.
• Ability to travel independently both domestically and internationally.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone. The employee frequently is required to walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand or walk up and down stairs. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to utilize commercial air travel. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Base Compensation Range is $130,000 - $183,000. Total compensation for this role also will include an incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base salary range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
