Family Services is a non-profit organization that protects, heals and cares for children and families throughout Northeast Wisconsin. Family Services is strongly committed to protecting children and vulnerable individuals from abuse and exploitation. When traumatic situations occur, our staff is there to assist the individual or family with their journey of healing and recovery. Family Services cares for individuals who are isolated, abandoned, or just need help developing the skills to live successfully.

Parent Connection, a comprehensive home visitation and child abuse prevention program, has an opening for a flexible, part-time Family Resource Navigator & Resource Specialist, working typically a flexible weekday schedule of 10-12 hours a week out of our Menasha office. This position is a critical organizational role providing Help Me Grow care coordination in partnership with First Five Fox Valley to link families with young children to existing resources in the community and provide the necessary follow-up to ensure the referrals are effective. This position provides information and support to families around specific developmental or behavioral concerns and participates in the Centralized Access Point call-in center, documents case information, mails informational packets, and networks with community-based providers. This position visits the hospital and conducts visits with all parents who delivered and effectively explains the benefits of participating in the program; assesses family strengths and needs, determines program eligibility, and makes appropriate referrals. Utilize standard established criteria and professional judgment.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of work experience with children and families. Preferred candidates will have an Associate's Degree in early child development, or related health or human services field. Spanish/English bilingual candidates are preferred. Candidates must also work with families with a diverse population in ways that are culturally competent, non-judgmental, supportive, and empowering. This position requires g ood time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work with limited supervision as well as st rong organizational, communication, and computer skills. A Wisconsin driver's license, reliable transportation, maintaining required auto insurance coverage, and acceptable driving record are required. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are preferred but not required
