Job description

 

Hybrid Remote Opportunity With Travel to Jackson Area. 

 

Do you have a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field ? Do you have e xperience working with clients who have experienced significant trauma, grief and loss?

 

We are seeking a Therapist for Unaccompanied Refugee Minors, primarily males ages 14-21. Youth have legal refugee status and have fled their home countries due to war, violence, persecution, and extreme poverty. Very often come with extreme trauma in their pasts. Help youth become healthy, independent adults

This position has salary range rate of $57,000.00 to $65,000.00 annually. Benefits are effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment and are detailed below.

Job Summary

 

Provides treatment, education and counseling services to children, families, caregivers and staff involved in the child welfare and behavioral/mental health system.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  1. Provide a range of clinical interventions to individuals, families and groups, using acceptable and appropriate treatment methodologies within evidenced based practice models when possible.
  2. Assist clients to clearly define presenting problems and devise methods and goals for solving problems.
  3. Assume responsibility for intake, assessment, clinical interventions, scheduling and billing.
  4. Present each case to supervisor and clinical peer team as required for review of treatment plan and progress. Provide participants with reviews as requested, to document clinical progress on goals and redefine goals as needed.
  5. Participate as a member of the clinical treatment team. Keep all members informed of case status and progress, provide oral and written reports, make recommendations about case goals for treatment and develop mutually agreeable treatment plans and/or behavioral planning.
  6. Provide court testimony on clinical recommendations for clients served as required.
  7. Maintain case record documentation for funding and regulatory bodies.
  8. Prepare reports as needed for referral sources and participants, as outlined by contract and program. Provide appropriate referral for clients requiring additional or alternative services.
