Position Title: Project Manager
Reports to: Director of Project Services / POD Leader
Position Status: Permanent – Full Time
FLSA Status: Exempt
Location: Pasadena, TX
Work Schedule: Standard schedule is Monday through Friday.
Purpose: The Project Manager will be responsible for the full spectrum of project management activities on a broad range of industrial capital projects (Engineering, Construction and EPC projects).
Core Job Responsibilities
- Client Account Management & Client Relationships: Develop and optimize strategy for account growth & profitability.
- Takes ownership of projects from start to finish.
- Visible project leaders (internally and with clients).
- Acts as the primary point of contact with our clients on bids and projects.
- Develops good relationships with clients to foster trust and repeat business.
- Ensures good scope alignment within internal teams and clients (bid and execution phases).
- Performs bid walks, proposal preparation, and presentations.
- Develops project execution strategies and plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements of the project.
- Assures the project execution baseline is in place and that we are tracking and reporting against it. Raises flags when needed.
- Overall responsibility for project scope, budget, change management, and schedule assurance.
- Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, utilization, and invoicing.
- Facilitates and documents regular project team and client meetings effectively.
- Works with clients to resolve problems and change management in a timely and effective manner.

Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in the capital projects environment (engineering and construction).
- Previous EPC project management, project engineering, and/or construction engineering experience in industrial projects.
- Past working experience in a multi-projects environment.
- Past working experience in small and medium sized industrial projects.
- Good working knowledge and use of MS Office (i.e. – Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Attention to detail, accuracy, completeness and meeting deadlines and commitments.
- Strong work ethic and analytical skills.
- Proactive and strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Enjoys a fast-paced work environment.
- Customer facing professional with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capable of running projects ranging in size from $50K - $15MM.
- Good understanding of engineering design and procurement processes, deliverables, and sequencing to construction.

- Occasionally lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds

- Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects
Environment:
Working conditions encountered in this job include those found in a typical office setting as well as an indoor/outdoor manufacturing setting which includes exposure to outside weather conditions, work at elevated heights, climbing of stairs and ladders, and physical manipulation of tools and mechanical equipment. This job demands the use of typical manufacturing personal protective equipment as well as advanced protective equipment as needed.
