Job description
Summary/Objective
The primary responsibility of the human resources assistant will be to support the recruitment and onboarding function within the HR department. In addition this position will support the daytoday operations of the HR department.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Work with management to determine current and future hiring needs
Coordinates recruitment efforts including placing job openings on career page review applications conduct initial telephone interview to assess the candidate s suitability for the position schedule inperson interviews check references coordinate job offers and ensure preemployment testing is completed in a timely manner
Manage candidates seamlessly through the recruiting process including communicating with candidates through the process with a high level of customer service
Communicate regular updates to hiring managers on the recruiting status of each position to ensure open jobs are being filled in a timely manner
Work with Technical Trainer to coordinate orientation sessions for all new hires and serve as a backup for conducting the HR orientation session in the absence of the Technical Trainer
Maintain ATS (Applicant Tracking System) to ensure all applicant data and statuses are accurately tracked
Assist with the maintenance and updating of job descriptions for all positions as needed
Provides assistance with maintaining HR filing systems
Assist with administering employee benefits and other employee programs
Assist with answering employee questions on HR policies and procedures
Generate both professional & confidential reports communications and/or correspondences
Perform work in a safe manner and comply with all established company safety policies and procedures
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned in order to help the team complete a project
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of the principles and practices of Human Resources regulations and procedures
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Possess excellent writing and communication skills
Enthusiastic team player with a drive to maintain a positive work environment for all employees
Understand the importance of the confidentiality of information related to employees and the company
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma (or equivalent) and two (2) years of general administrative support experience preferably in an HR department or Associate s degree and one (1) year of general administrative support experience
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor s degree and one (1) year of human resource and/or recruiting experience
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This position typically requires: grasping feeling talking hearing seeing and repetitive motions.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift carry push pull or move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time (up to 2 hours per day) with no significant stooping being required.
Working conditions: The employee is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
Work Environment
Work primarily in a climate controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Tools/Equipment
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines.
Travel
Minimal travel is expected for this position.
