Position Summary: The Department of Medicine is comprised of 11 Divisions by Medicine Subspecialty. The post award team in the Finance unit is responsible for management of more than $29 million in contracts, grants and research funding. This centralized unit provides expertise and financial management for contracts, grants, and university allocations for research. Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator, the incumbent will assist with the implementation of research protocols for human subjects experimental/clinical research studies. Involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting a wide variety of research data. Designs and conducts research including selecting data samples, developing research instruments, analyzing collected information according to established statistical methods, and developing recommendations based on research findings. Prepares reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids to interpret and communicate data and results.

Required: - 1-2 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree or related experience in Public Health of Biological Sciences
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree or related experience in Public Health of Biological Sciences
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree student of Public Health. Clear and professional communication skills; written and verbal. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and in STATA, SAS or R Experience with data management and analysis. Organized and able to set task priorities.
- Prior research experience with demonstrated independent responsibilities and activities. Demonstrated ability to conduct research protocols with critical attention to detail.
Preferred: Spanish fluency (reading, writing, and conversing). Vietnamese fluency (reading, writing, and conversing). Experience with kidney disease research.
Special Conditions Required: * This position requires travel in personal car throughout Los Angeles and Orange County.
