POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
POSITION:Accounting Inventory Supervisor 3rd Shift
DEPARTMENT:Accounting
LOCATION:Ottumwa, Iowa
SALARY CLASS:Exempt
Responsibilities:
- Manage facility inventory accounting functions
- Supervise accounting 2nd shift yield specialist, 2nd & 3rd shift billing specialists
- Oversee yield preparation/production reporting before nightly back-up process
- Assist with internal control compliance & process improvement
- Meet deadlines set by local and corporate office
- Be able to handle multiple tasks timely and efficiently
- Perform various other tasks as needed to ensure efficiency in the accounting department, including coverage of other team members
- Weekend work required on occasion
Relationships:
- Partner with plant management & production supervisors
- Partner with shipping department managers
Special Skills:
- Strong leadership and managerial skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively—verbally & in writing
- Knowledge of accounting and compliance principles & practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and have 10-key skills
- Good attendance and safety records
Education:
- Bachelor degree in accounting or finance degree preferred, but not required
Experience
- Previous accounting experience preferred
