Position Summary: We are seeking a Clinical Nurse (RN) for a well-respected out-patient clinic setting in Blue Island, IL. The RN would be responsible for direct patient care (primary care) in collaboration with other nurses and Providers. The Clinical Nurse (RN) must be able to maintain flexibility and organization in working with patients from a diverse background. The Clinical Nurse (RN) will also work closely with the interdisciplinary team including the nurse manager as well as various referring positions, including outreach workers.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide Direct Patient Care in a Primary Care setting to underserved patients.
Provide results notifications and respond to clinical questions from patients regarding their care
Serves as resource for patients with clinical questions
Differentiates patient care issues
Performs other duties as requested by Nurse Manager working a standard Monday through Friday (8am-5:00pm) schedule with no weekends or call responsibility.
Required Qualifications:
Clinical experience required
Registration and possession of current RN license in State of Illinois
Possess excellent decision making and communication skills
Possess effective teaching skills in working with staff and patient population
Possess basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
Familiar with insurance coverage including Medicare, IDPA and commercial providers
