Job description

Role Overview:
As a Senior Software Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining complex, mission-critical systems. Requirements:

3+ years of experience as a front-end developer
2+ years of experience as a UI/UX designer
Proficiency in .NET framework
Familiarity with Sencha Java EXT JS
Strong JavaScript skills and understanding of SOLID design principles
Experience in an integrated development environment such as Visual Studio
Proficient in version control systems (TFS/Git/GitHub)
Ability to design interfaces and build clickable prototypes using tools like Balsamiq or Sketch
Cloud migration experience is desired

Tasks:

Deployment/Decommissioning of Software:
Conduct thorough testing and document changes before any production release.
Provide testing and documentation plans for approval by the ECOS Management Team and the USFWS Business Sponsor.
Staggered deployments across QA, Beta, and Production environments.
Obtain approval from the USFWS Business Sponsor and ECOS Program Management for all production deployments.

System Behavior Refinement and UI Updates:
Refine minor system behaviors as needed for existing workflows.
Update the user interface based on user needs and feedback.

Decommissioning of Software:
Obtain approval from the ECOS Management Team and USFWS Business Sponsor before decommissioning any software.
Prepare and gain approval for a project plan, including closing integration points, retiring old code, archiving data, etc.
Document all decommissioning activities in Confluence or as required by USFWS.

Testing:
Ensure comprehensive testing of all software changes and improvements.
Provide documentation and plans for testing activities.
