Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished L&E lateral attorney to join our esteemed practice. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced legal professional to leverage their expertise.
You will play a pivotal role in guiding our clients through the intricate landscape of labor and employment laws and regulations. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of matters, including employment litigation, union-related issues, wage and hour compliance, workplace investigations, and proactive counseling on best practices.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and a license to practice law in Virginia (DC and/or Maryland bar admission is a plus)
- 6-10 years of extensive experience in labor and employment law, with a strong emphasis on management-side representation
- Proven track record of successfully litigating employment-related cases and providing strategic legal counsel to clients
- Demonstrated expertise in navigating complex labor and employment issues, such as union negotiations, collective bargaining agreements, and unfair labor practice charges
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential risks and develop proactive strategies
- Existing book of business or portable clients (required)
