Summary
Improve suppliers' manufacturing and production planning activities to respond to Ryder's delivery demand. Assess current supplier operations, measure, track and maintain the movement of materials from vehicle and component manufacturers to these suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods to Ryder. Perform capacity planning with suppliers to ensure suppliers are capable of meeting Ryder's delivery needs.

Essential Functions
Guide an assigned group of vehicle and vehicle component suppliers to improve operational performance by reviewing production planning, new vehicle build plans, aligning slot planning and improving Ryder's on time delivery.
Measure, track and perform data analysis to monitor performance, identify possible bottlenecks, and hold suppliers accountable for meeting agreed upon delivery targets.
Conduct visits to supplier facilities to audit performance, identify issues and enforce compliance and improve processes.
Develop and present findings, recommend action plans and ensure that action plans are carried out accordingly.
Work jointly with suppliers to continuously improve processes and drive efficiencies in the build-to-delivery cycle.
Assist on the onboarding process for new suppliers

Strong organizational skills
Knowledge of vehicle manufacturing process or related manufacturing disciplines intermediate preferred
Strong data analytical skills; SQL queries & data services; Tableau; MS Power Birequired
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required Supply Management, Engineering or related field
Four (4) years or more Supply Management, fleet maintenance or related field required
Two (2) years or more Experience with / exposure to manufacturing environments and production lines. preferred
Knowledge of vehicle manufacturing process or related manufacturing disciplines. intermediate preferred
Strong analytical skills required
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications. advanced
Travel
30-60%
Applicants from California, Colorado, Hawaii, New Jersey, New York City, and Washington:
Salary is determined based on internal equity; internal salary ranges; market
data/ranges; applicant’s skills; prior relevant experience; certain degrees or
certifications, etc. The salary for this position ranges from $55K to $75K
