Quality Analyst I – Dayton, NJ
It’s an exciting time to be part of IFF’s Flavor Quality Control team. In this position, you will ensure finished and raw materials are consistent with IFF specifications through analytical testing. As part of the Quality Control department, you will executive wet chemistry analyses based on standard operating procedures as well as sample preparation, data acquisition, data interpretation, and reporting in support of production.
You will spend your time…
- Calibrating and working with analytical equipment daily, including but not limited to: density meter, refractometer, pH meter, titratable acidity, spectrophotometer, moisture analyzer, KF tiitrator, chlorides titrator
- Performing tests on finished and raw materials and reporting results
- Preparing samples, acquiring data, interpreting results
- Entering in results in quality module
- Critically thinking and assisting with the investigation of internal and external non-conformances
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Required Skills:
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry or science related field
- 1-2 years’ experience in analytical applications
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Knowledge of basic math and science
- Basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask wihtin the lab to efficiently maintain lab workflow
- Preferred Experience:
- 3+ years laboratory experience in the food industry
- Knowledge of SAP operator system
- Experience with method development and validation
