05 The Role: XPressfeed Software Development Intern
The Team:
As part of the Xpressfeed technology team, we are focused on moving the Xpressfeed file delivery platform to a cloud-based codebase while increasing the reliability. To this end, we are using new/emerging technologies to increase performance and mitigate vulnerabilities.
Responsibilities and Impact:
- Be part of an agile team that designs, develops, and maintains the enterprise data systems and other related software applications
- Build queries and microservices in Scala / Spark SQL / Python / Java / ...
- Participate in design sessions for new product features, data models, and capabilities
- Produce technical design documents and participate in technical walkthroughs.
- Engineer components and common services based on standard corporate development models, languages, and tools.
- Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Learn new tools and technologies
- Support and maintain production environments
- Participate in daily evening meetings and collaborate with colleagues based in India, Pakistan, the United States, and other countries

Duration: June 3rd - August 9th.
Compensation/Benefits Information: S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $25 to $30. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
What We're Looking For: Qualifications: - Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent completed no later than May 2025.
- Good knowledge of data structures, algorithms, system design and distributed systems.
- Proficiency in at least one of these languages: Java, Scala, Python, SQL, Spark Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, driven, and passionate about technology with an aptitude to learn and innovate to solve complex challenges.
- Knowledgeable in or ready to learn new technologies, programming languages, and tools as needed (AWS, GCP, Kafka, Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow, NiFi, AI, ...)
