Position Purpose
We’re seeking spirited “can do” people to join our Inside Sales team in the exciting world of hazmat compliance. You’ll leverage your friendly personality in conversations with our dedicated customers, assisting them with their hazmat shipping needs as well as growing their accounts.

The Government Account Manager is responsible for developing and executing a strategy for government customers that will drive volume, growth, profitability as well as, maximize opportunities for the customer and Company.

For this role we offer a base salary of $75,000 plus commission (commission is paid monthly on percentage to goal), and our extensive training is paid.  This is a remote work from home position if you live outside of the Chicagoland area.

Essential Functions

• Manage assigned account base by building and executing professional selling establishing rapport, discovering needs, relating benefits to product features, handling objections, closing opportunities, and managing customer relationships.
• Exceed sales goal and increase market share
• Has working knowledge of managing government bid boards and additional methodologies to grow all government business.
• Work to develop a continuous pipeline of new opportunities in established accounts
• Prepares and delivers sales presentations that address the clients’ needs, and leads to sales growth within established, and new government accounts.
• Willingness and ability to travel at least 30%

Experience/Skills

 

• Minimum 3 years’ experience successful selling to government accounts required
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Ability to navigate various sales platforms such as Salesforce and internal systems

• Demonstrated track record of achieving sales goals and territory management skills that include customer satisfaction along with growing pipeline with government accounts, including local, state and federal agencies
• Demonstrated track record of success with managing GSA contracts required
• Excellent communication, negotiation, persuasion and closing skills

• Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office and communication with CRM tool is required.
