Job Title: Registered Nurse (Step Down)

Job Duration: 13 Week Contract

Description: St. Mary's Medical Center, a hospital in Huntington, West Virginia, is currently seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in Step Down specialty for a 13-week contract starting ASAP. The RN will work 3x12-hour day shifts with flexible scheduling options available. The nurse will provide care for patients who require continuous monitoring and treatment for conditions that are not severe enough to require ICU admission but are too complex for a general medical-surgical unit.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of West Virginia
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• At least 1 year of experience as a registered nurse in a Step Down unit
• COVID-19 vaccination required, medical/religious exemptions only

Requirements:

• Ability to monitor vital signs and recognize changes in patient condition
• Ability to administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to work some weekends and holidays as needed
• Knowledge of electronic medical record systems
