Description/Notes:

The Dilley ISO School Board is in search of a Superintendent with a dedication and passion for academic achievement and the ability and determination to further enhance the
District's ongoing efforts in this area. As a district located in Frio County, Dilley ISO serves around 900 students. We want our next Superintendent to spark enthusiasm in every teacher and student by promoting innovative leadership, education, and learning experiences

Qualifications:

1. Minimum Qualifications
• 15 years of experience in education;
• 2 years of classroom teaching experience;
• 5 years of experience working in an in-school setting;
• Experience in a leadership role such as an area superintendent, deputy superintendent, assistant superintendent, or a similar position, with oversight or supervision of at least 7 schools;
• Must be certified as a superintendent by a state education agency, and obtain certification as a superintendent in Texas within 6 months of hire.

2. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience as a Superintendent;
• Experience as a Principal;
• 5 years of classroom teaching experience;
• Experience working with student demographics similar to those in the district; and
• Knowledge of Texas school law, finance, curriculum, and accountability measures.
