General Summary
This position is primarily responsible for generating, tracking and communicating pricing activities for new and existing customers. Responsibilities include facilitating pricing activities and reviewing inputs. Also, reviewing, creating, and analyzing data/outputs to contribute trend information for ongoing business strategies or enhance existing processes.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Manages the daily administration of customer pricing requests. Confirms key details of information required to support and validate pricing structure. Facilitates the generation of turnkey quotations.
- Acts as the liaison between field sales, internal sales, channel sales, and business development to process quotes for new and potential business not covered by established pricing, existing contracts, or historical pricing.
- Process weekly ship and debit submissions/responses to the distribution channel. Potential for distribution dispute discussions.
- Interfaces with internal and external customers to effectively resolve input errors and pricing issues.
- Determines root cause for inaccurate pricing and communicates with sales and sales management to address ongoing pricing issues. Ensures continual improvement of pricing processes.
- Ensure data integrity of (RFQ) documentation and required authorizations while maintaining the database (e.g., customer parts, LOA, and bills of materials). Responds to customers and provide feedback.
- Work within CRM to create dashboard/report tools. Utilize output for trend analysis, enhancement opportunities, or identify process gaps in procedure or strategy.
Miscellaneous Job Responsibilities
- Partners with sales to follow up on extremely high-value quotes.
- Participates in pricing and process projects, as assigned.
- Reports on the status of quotes including turn-around times and success rates.
- Maintain reporting where applicable.
- Performs other job-related responsibilities and duties as may be assigned from time to time.
- Will identify, create output, and offer recommendations/alternative views.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree and two+ years of comparable, functional work experience or High School Diploma and four years of comparable, functional knowledge.
- Strong proficiency with computers including Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, functions, macros, lookups, etc.).
- Ability to analyze problems where established procedures do not exist and reach conclusions where some variation in interpretation is possible.
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to solve problems with experience using analytics.
- Strong math and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize tasks to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to demonstrate time-management skills.
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency in interpersonal skills including effective collaboration and communication skills; ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to functional work.
- Project Management experience.
- Electronic components resale experience.
- Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO/TS).
