Pennichuck Corporation is a private water utility engaged in the collection, storage, treatment, distribution and sale of potable water in southern and central New Hampshire. This position supports our water quality lab in treatment plant in Nashua NH.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision of the Water Quality Supervisor, assist with the completion of State Mandated Reporting such as Consumer Confidence Reports, complete routine water quality lab analysis, calibration of field and lab equipment, and data entry of water quality data into Pennichuck’s proprietary LIMS

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Technical Duties

• Daily Analysis of Iron, Manganese, Hardness, pH, TOC and Alkalinity according to SOPs.
• Daily Calibration of Field pH Meters.
• Nitrification Monitoring.
• Watershed Monitoring: Merrimack River Monitoring: Alloway Genetic sample collection, 129 PP Scan, Weekly Bacteria Counts, Cryptosporidium and Giardia, Raw Water Micro-Nutrient Sampling.
• EPA Cyano Monitoring Collaborative Collection and Monitoring.

Administrative Duties

• Assist with compliance and non-compliance bacteria and chemical monitoring analysis.
• Data Entry on the LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).
• Filing as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently studying on one of the following majors within a university or community college: Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Microbiology
• Strong organizational and communications skills
• An eye for accuracy in the details
• Team player
• Valid state driver’s license in good standing
