We are currently seeking to fill the role of Sr. Casualty Claims Adjuster, which reports to the Casualty General Claims Supervisor, and is responsible for determining coverage, investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving insurance claims. This position will be remote and the candidate must be located in AZ, ID, MT, OR, UT, WA or WY, able to work during our core Pacific Standard Time (PST) business hours, and must have high speed internet (internet speed test required) .
Hiring Range: $81,477 - $91,422
Salary Range: $81,477 - $101,937

- Provide Ethical, Responsive, Personal, and Efficient claim service.
- Apply a strategic approach to adjusting injury and property damage claims in personal lines and commercial lines; including auto, homeowners, farm, products, and general liability claims in the states Mutual of Enumclaw conducts business.
- Manage claims litigation and ensure accurate expense outcomes while maintaining strong relationships with defense counsel, developing strategy, and working toward appropriate litigation outcomes.
- Respond with a high sense of urgency and empathy to sensitive matters.
- Communicate with members, agents, claimants, witnesses, attorneys, medical specialists, contractors, independent adjusters, and other partners to facilitate accurate, prompt claims resolution.
- Demonstrate proficiency in all financial aspects of assigned claims.
- Create a clear and accurate file reporting strategy and claim evaluations.
- Effectively manage workload while maintaining focus on claims quality and timely customer service, ensuring compliance across multiple venues.
- Recognize potential subrogation and potential fraud.
- Appropriate use of available tools, vendors, consultants, and resources to conduct investigations, site inspections, and damage appraisals.
- Collaborate with defense counsel as appropriate.
- Grow knowledge-base continuously to adapt to an ever-changing claims landscape. Maintain state licensing as required.
- May require after-hours duty.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products and claims-related software programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including conflict resolution and problem-solving.
- Knowledge of insurance policies and regulatory environments.
- A demonstrated history of highly inquisitive claim investigations.
- Resilient and adaptable in a demanding and changing environment.
Education and Experience
- 5-7+ years of insurance claims adjusting and 2+ current litigation experience.
- Bachelor’s preferred or equivalent business/industry experience.
- Insurance industry designation(s)/certification(s) preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer, including video conferencing.
- May be required to lift less than 25 lbs.
