Job description
A high growth, VC backed Dental Technology company is looking for a dynamic Manufacturing Engineer to help their growing team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in building and advancing system processes and designing quality assurance measures for the creation of custom orthodontic solutions. This includes documenting and defining current processes, as well as designing new ones to generate efficiency, repeatability, and control in the production and R&D cycles. Responsibilities for this job include, but are not limited to the following: • Write and update Work Instructions as needed • Establish process controls and process optimizations with the objective of improving product quality, uniformity, repeatability, and cost • Evaluating, selecting, and ordering equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacturer of company products i.e. 3D Printers • Ensure process capabilities and yield targets are met • Serve as “product owner” during evaluation of new equipment and necessary modifications • Complete ROI data collection during implementation of projects, as well as all R&D as required • Support all necessary manufacturing issues which could include process safety concerns, customer quality concerns, supplier and/or vendor quality investigations, shipment concerns, and product sort/rework activities • Responsible for product testing and product releases related to production • Evaluate software and hardware technology as requested • Design and execute tests validating the operation of software, hardware, and processes • Working understanding of ISO 13485:2016 and 21CFR 820, especially Risk Management and Design and Development requirements Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field (Preferred) 3+ years of experience as Process or Manufacturing Engineer Experience in design verification and validation (Preferred) Possess above average writing, analytical, and communication skills Ability to take the initiative and drive for results Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people solving skills Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) certification (Preferred) Demonstrated success in a changing and high-paced environment Strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
