We have recently partnered with a CPA firm in Columbia, MD to provide them with a Tax Associate. Please review the below description and let us know if you are interested.
Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Tax Associate:
#1. Must have at least one year of public accounting experience.
#2. Must have generalist experience - 1060, 1120s, 1040.
#3. Must be local to the area. Required to be in the office a few days per week.
Responsibilities of the Tax Associate:
- Prepare complex individual, partnership, S and C corporate tax returns, as well as nonprofit and trust tax returns and workpapers using ProSystems Tax and Advance Flow
- Identify and research tax and compliance issues as needed using various tax research platforms
- Work closely with clients, senior staff and partners within our client-based approach to provide outstanding client service and build client confidence in and trust for the firm
Requirements of the Tax Associate:
- 1 to 3 years of public accounting experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Experience with ProSystemsfx Tax and Advance Flow
- Actively working towards completing sections of the CPA
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Self-motivated with excellent follow through on assigned duties
Other Key Requirements:
- Must be local to the area. Must be able to go into office a few days per week.
- No sponsorships or visa holders. No Corp-to-Corp.
