Job description – Construction Inspector

Yankee Engineering & Testing, Inc. specializes in geotechnical engineering services. Our projects include both private and public clients; from residential sites to municipalities and schools. We are proud to be growing at a robust pace (260% growth in the past two years) and are looking for motivated inspectors to join our team.

SUMMARY

The Construction Inspector is responsible for the day-to-day completion of work assignments related to field testing. Yankee Engineering is willing to invest in time, training, and certification requirements, for applicants with integrity, who possess a strong work ethic and are eager to learn.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Ability to read and write.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid Driver’s License

ACI Concrete Field Level I Certification*

Radiation Safety Certification (Troxler or APGNA)*

*Yankee will consider coordinating and funding these certifications for an excellent candidate, one which we are confident will meet the expectations outlined in Duties and Responsibility section.

Job Type: Full-time Experience:

* Weekly HSA contributions, eligible after 90 days. 401k Safe Harbor of 3% salary match (eligible after 2 consecutive full quarters).
