Job description

We are seeking for an ambitious, talented, and self-motivated individual, who will help us lead and build innovative solutions for Cyber Security research programs. This person will be working in a mostly remote capacity with occasional need for on-site attendance to the customer site in Silver Spring, MD (expected 1-2 days/week).

This candidate will work closely with the C-suite in a high visibility role in which their first order of affairs will be spearheading and growing a Research & Development organization. We are seeking a business-oriented, consultative professional with knowledge of cyber operations that has previous experience engineering complex software solutions for DOD and IC customers.

‍GENERAL DUTIES:

• Report, consult, and interface directly with R&D Founder/CTO of client company as well as DOD/IC customer leadership
• Function as key engineer and developer of custom cyber solutions for DOD/IC customer
• Opportunity to build team of 3-4 supporting developers and engineers throughout 2023 to respond to customer needs
• Seek opportunities for business growth through delivering high quality solutions
• Experience developing in Python (pandas and/or pyspark)
• Experience with a variety of data storage, processing, and analytics platforms and systems, such as ELK, Neo4J, Kafka, Spark, object stores (AWS S3/Azure Blob), etc.
• Experience containerizing projects (Docker) and deploying to Kubernetes
• Experience with schema development, data wrangling/entity extraction/NLP, ETL pipelines, data storage architecture, feature engineering, model development, etc.
• Experience integrating/deploying to cloud services is a plus (Azure or AWS)
• Experience working within DoD/IC cyber operations or intelligence processing (SIGINT, OSINT, etc.) mission environments is desired but not required
• Familiarity with OCO/CNO mission planning and/or intelligence processing
• Knowledge of CI/CD, github/gitlab, development environments and processes (agile), etc.
  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering is a minimum requirement, which can be substituted with impressive mission related technical experience
• Previous work as Full-Stack Developer, ETL Engineer, Data Architect, Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or technical role in OCO/CNO or intelligence processing
• Good understanding of functional programming
• Familiarity with JS automated testing tools and frameworks
• Familiarity with containerized development (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience developing full stack software solutions
• Experience with backend/API development

• Top Secret minimum w/ SCI eligibility
