Job description

Zapata Technology is seeking a cleared person holding a Secret clearance to become a Digital Media Systems (DMS) Admin at Camp Pendleton. Check out the details below and our awesome benefits here.


Salary Range:
75K-79K


Essential Qualifications:


Five (5) or more years of experience with the USMC Public Affairs Live Media Engagement System (PALMES) system and its telecommunications connectivity. Must be able to operate, train, write SOP, and troubleshoot the PALMES suite. Requires Secret clearance to start, with TS/SCI eligibility. Security+ certified. Basic ability to use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Must like to write and to train.




Essential Functions:


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Train Fleet Marine Forces (FMF) to set up, configure, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the DMS system.
Provide units with over-the-shoulder DMS support.
Assist units to troubleshoot and connect the DMS VIAS workstation to the internet.
Assist units to access the iDirect Web GUI for the PALMES system.
Assist units to acquire DMS software and licenses.
Expected to learn and support MARCIMS and CIRRAS and other information management systems.
Interface with FMF personnel and US Government employees to provide break/fix support to USMC tactical networks in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Research questions using available information resources: technical manuals, operating and administrator guides, fleet advisory messages (FAMs), and internal approved knowledge base(s).
Identify and elevate situations requiring urgent attention.
Understand and troubleshoot basic computer configurations.
Job Qualifications:


Qualifications and Skills include:


Must know the USMC PALMES system.
Basic knowledge of Adobe applications, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Intermediate analytical and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and consistent resolution of IT problems.
Experience writing technical solutions and commercial knowledgebase articles.
Experience working with customers, addressing issues, and managing customer concerns and requests over the phone and/or in person.
Strong active listening, data entry, and documentation skills.
Must have a Security+ certification or higher.
Preferred Qualifications:


Preferred COMMSTRAT and public affairs experience.
Preferred SATCOM experience to operate and troubleshoot PALMES, which utilizes a Tampa Microwave.
Education/Experience include:


No degree required.
5 or more years related experience.

Clearance Type:


Requires a Secret Security Clearance (TS/SCI eligible). Employment is contingent on having or obtaining the required active security clearance as well as other factors, including, but not limited to, drug screens.
