Are you passionate about numbers and would like to gain more experience in the field of finance and accounting? Then join us and strengthen our Finance team. As the Accountant you will be working closely with the management team and stakeholders across the business.
General Responsibilities
The Company Accountant is charged with various tasks supporting all company departments. The Company Accountant will perform various accounting functions specifically in the areas of account balancing, ledger reconciliation, reporting and discrepancy resolution to support the CFO in producing and maintaining all financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Maintains all accounting and financial activities of Alaska 360, LLC in collaboration with the CFO.
- Produces and maintains all financial reporting in conjunction with the CFO.
- Maintains and reconciles Operating Cash activities to Actual Bank activities.
- Reviews all General Ledger Account activity for accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Reconciles the General Ledger and Generate Financial Statements to include Balance Sheet and Income Statement Reporting as required.
- Prepares Annual Audits for Liability Insurance and Workers' Compensation Insurance.
- Assures legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitors compliance with laws and regulations.
- Reviews all Income and Expense activity.
- Generates and reviews all Financial reports together with the CFO for the General Manager each Tuesday Morning for the prior Week.
- Perform any and all duties as required by Alaska 360, LLC.
Educational Background
- BS/BA in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.
- Experience in hospitality, or tourism is a plus.
Professional Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting/finance including:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Customer Billing
- Payroll
- Cash Management
- Utilizing QuickBooks Accounting Software, TOAST Point of Sale and/or other financial management software as necessary.
