Marketing Intern
Mavin's Marketing Intern serves as the team's resource to accomplish specific marketing objectives within the Visual Branding and Overall Branding documents. They will lead the team in achieving the goals and objectives related to each activity, and they will need self-discipline and the ability to strategically think, react, and lead the achievement of each goal. Based on their capacity and skillset they can take on some office management and administration roles to support projects and personnel with event driven needs and project specific marketing and communications. Development of RFP/RFQ responses in Adobe InDesign and other Creative Suite programs will be a primary responsibility and the candidate will need to demonstrate their mastery of those programs as well as creative writing and process illustration. They will assist in preparing and authoring posts for social media platforms as well as managing advertising and marketing vendors throughout the internship.
The Details
Compensation: This will be a paid internship with compensation based on experience and capacity of applicant.
Timeframe: Summer 2024. Start and end date dependent on completion of Spring Semester and start of Fall Semester.

Requirements:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- General knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator).
- Experience in public relations, marketing, and/or event coordination is an added differentiator and desired, but not a requirement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Basic understanding of WordPress and website management practices a plus
- General knowledge of Power BI and real time reporting is a plus, but not required.
- Brings new skillsets and experiences to our team.
Responsibilities:
- Attend and participate in internal Mavin Company meetings.
- Monday Morning Weekly Meetings - Office Coordination
- Marketing Meeting - Weekly or Bi-Weekly based on workload
- Quarterly Meetings - attend and participate in company-wide meetings that occur during internship timeframe.
- Develop updates to be shared internally on the Mavin Hub (SharePoint)
- Analytics Tracking and Reporting (Power BI Experience or Business Analytics illustration experience is a plus)
- Strategic Planning Goals - Work toward established goals across the summer.
- Assist, coordinate, and develop responses to Request for Qualifications, Proposals, and Interviews. Assist project teams with graphic design or presentation of any project specific information such as site management, phasing, 3d illustrations, animations.
- Assist in developing materials for interviews and presentations.
- Support with ordering apparel and assist with managing inventory.
- Assist in keeping the Marketing closet neat and orderly and ensure there are ample amounts of promotional/marketing items on hand.
- Assist in consistently updating company website, AIA 305 Project Experience Listing, Project Photos, Team Resumes, and Project Experience Pages.
- Assist in drafting and issuing PR announcements for publication
- Assist in managing project photography and videography.
- Any experience with animation or video editing is a differentiator.
- Photography skills are also a benefit, currently 100% outsourced.
- Assist in updating Mavin social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
- Assist in planning and coordinating all events including:
- Sponsored Events
- Groundbreaking Ceremonies
- Client and Milestone Events
- Internal Occasions such as Holiday Celebrations, Volunteer Efforts
- Assist in executing materials for all upcoming advertising opportunities.
- Support clients as necessary with any event planning, surveys, apparel/hardhat/safety equipment needs, as well as jobsite signs and fence screening.
Additional Responsibilities/Possible Assignments:
- Attend industry-specific events as needed.
- Develop documentation of the different processes and marketing functions performed by this role so that instructions and templates can be incorporated in the Mavin Way.
