Job description

West Pointe Healthcare Staffing is an Owings Mills, MD-based staffing and home care agency. We are seeking a full-time Operations Manager to oversee our day-to-day operations. This position will be based in our office in Owings Mills, MD. The operations manager position is full-time Monday-Friday 9:30-5:30 PM, and may occasionally require weekends as needed.

Job Description:

Staff Management/Client Coordination: Work closely with Intake/ Client care coordinator and staffing coordinator to streamline processes, optimize resource allocation, and address any challenges that may arise to ensure smooth and effective homecare services. Manage client intake and assessment, ensure compliance with regulations, handle staff issues, and maintain quality standards in service delivery.

Compliance: Ensuring that the agency complies with all relevant regulations, including healthcare standards, privacy laws, and licensing requirements.

Quality Assurance: Monitoring the quality of care provided to clients, conducting regular assessments and evaluations. Implementing improvements and corrective actions as needed.

Budget and Financial Management: Managing the budget for operations, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effective use of resources. Handling billing, invoicing, and financial reporting.

Scheduling and Routing: Organizing caregiver schedules and routes to optimize efficiency and minimize travel time between client visits.

Emergency Management: Developing and implementing emergency protocols to handle unexpected situations or crises effectively.

Training and Development: Providing ongoing training and professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Technology Utilization: Implementing and utilizing software systems for scheduling, client records, billing, and communication to streamline operations.

Problem Solving: Addressing any operational issues that arise, such as staffing shortages, scheduling conflicts, or client concerns, in a timely and effective manner.

Communication: Facilitating clear communication among caregivers, clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals involved in the care process.

Marketing and Business Development: Collaborating with the marketing team to promote the agency's services and attract new clients. Identifying potential partnerships or business opportunities.

Performance Metrics: Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as client satisfaction, caregiver performance, and operational efficiency. Making data-driven decisions to improve overall performance.

Continuous Improvement: Identifying areas for improvement in processes and procedures, and implementing changes to enhance the overall quality of care and operations.

Conflict Resolution: Addressing conflicts or challenges that may arise among staff, clients, or their families, and finding appropriate solutions.

Overall, the home care operations manager plays a critical role in ensuring that the agency runs smoothly, clients receive high-quality care, and staff members are supported in their roles.

Other duties as assigned by the director.
