Basic Purpose and Scope:

The Maintenance II is responsible for the mechanical maintenance and repair of plant equipment

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

1. Perform all job duties and operations in a safe manner, while following all federal, state, and Litehouse regulations and policies - Always
2. Completes planned maintenance, breakdown repair and condition monitoring activities of plant equipment - 75%
3. Provide part and material details to support equipment operation - 15%
4. Perform scheduled lubrication on assigned assets - 10%
5. May fabricate parts from scratch or prints - Ongoing
6. Maintains clean work area and participates in housekeep throughout the facility and grounds - Ongoing
7. Utilize blueprints, sketches, machine manuals, and machine components for specifications and repair - Ongoing
8. Suggests and implements upgrades to systems - Ongoing
9. Communicate with maintenance leadership on all maintenance issues - Ongoing
10. Responsibility to adhere to Food Safety policies and report food safety and quality concerns to their supervisor - Ongoing
11. Must be able to work scheduled shifts and meet attendance requirements - Ongoing
12. Other duties as assigned - Ongoing

Supervisory Responsibilities:

1. None

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO PERFORM WORK:

1. Education: High School Diploma/GED Strongly Preferred
2. Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in maintenance field. The combination of a formal training program and experience will be considered
3. Certifications: None
4. Know how to troubleshoot/repair automated equipment including PLC, Servo motor, and VFD
5. Ability to multi-task, focus and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
6. Ability to fabricate parts from scratch or prints preferred
7. Able to analyze and resolve technical problems or assist others in solving equipment issues
8. Must be able to understand and utilize blueprints and other technical publications
9. Experience in reading and interpreting ladder logic/schematics a plus
10. Ability to use basic math in all units of measure, compute rate, ration, and percent
11. Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside of the company with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
12. Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to express ideas professionally, effectively and efficiently in the common language

Lifting requirements: Frequently; up to 55 lbs. Over 55 lbs. must be with two or more individuals or with mechanical aides (hoist, dolly cart, forklift)

Specific visions abilities include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust/focus

Personal protective equipment may be required: Smocks, protective gloves, goggles, safety glasses, face shield, hearing protection, bump caps and/or hard hats and any other personal protective equipment (PPE) as deemed necessary to perform the job safely
