Job description

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, analyzing financial data, and preparing reports to support decision-making. The Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, as well as providing valuable insights into our company's financial performance. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills to make a meaningful impact within our organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  2. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
  3. Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, including developing financial models and analyzing variances.
  4. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, billing, and collections.
  5. Perform month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  6. Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  7. Conduct financial audits and internal control reviews to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  8. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial analysis and support for decision-making.
  9. Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations, and ensure compliance with new requirements.
  10. Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred.
  2. Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  3. Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle, as well as Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends and patterns.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
  6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members and present financial information to stakeholders.
  7. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including experience with tax preparation and filing.
  9. Experience with financial audits and internal control reviews is a plus.
  10. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive financial information with integrity.
