Job description
Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, analyzing financial data, and preparing reports to support decision-making. The Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, as well as providing valuable insights into our company's financial performance. Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, including developing financial models and analyzing variances.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, billing, and collections.
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Conduct financial audits and internal control reviews to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial analysis and support for decision-making.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations, and ensure compliance with new requirements.
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred.
- Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle, as well as Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends and patterns.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members and present financial information to stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including experience with tax preparation and filing.
- Experience with financial audits and internal control reviews is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive financial information with integrity.
