Job Summary:
The Systems and Infrastructure Engineer II is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the infrastructure systems within the organization. They will assist in performing routine maintenance tasks, automate repetitive tasks using automation tools, adhere to coding standards and guidelines while writing/configuring code, analyze requirements and assist in scoping projects, provide suggestions for right-sizing IT resources, resolve low complexity issues, configure new Virtual Machines, maintain version control, assist in infrastructure design, and provide expert advice and guidance to others. They will also support the implementation of business solutions, model compliance with company policies and procedures, and uphold Walmart's values and culture.
About Team:
Our team is focused on developing a streamlined, dependable company that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, and Associate Digital Experience (ADE). We also provide a variety of services such as procurement, supplier portfolio management, merchandising master data, and analytics. From developing HR chatbots and virtual assistants to creating invoice solutions and facilitating legal changes, we help drive efficiency across Walmart globally.
- Provide support for our associates at our tech spots locations, manage incidents and help document process and root cause analysis
- Assist in performing routine maintenance tasks for infrastructure systems, such as backups, patch management, and hot fixes.
- Analyze requirements and assist in scoping projects, prepare requirement traceability matrix, and contribute to the creation of user stories.
- Provide suggestions for right-sizing IT resources, analyze resource utilization, and assist in creating capacity plans.
- Ability to analyze requirements, create traceability matrices, and contribute to the creation of user stories. - Knowledge of capacity management, current and future business requirements, Walmart service levels, and infrastructure performance.
- Experience in issue resolution techniques and escalation processes.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools and processes, as well as configuration and release management.
What you'll bring:
- Knowledge of infrastructure maintenance tools and methodologies, infrastructure maintenance plans and schedule, and infrastructure performance metrics.
- Proficiency in automation tools and technologies, as well as scripting languages.
- Familiarity with coding languages, frameworks, tools, and platforms, as well as coding standards and guidelines.
- Understanding of quality, safety, and security standards, as well as emerging tools and technologies.
- Ability to analyze requirements, create traceability matrices, and contribute to the creation of user stories. - Knowledge of capacity management, current and future business requirements, Walmart service levels, and infrastructure performance.
