Commercial HVAC material supplier in Tampa, FL has an immediate opening for an Estimating Coordinator/ Estimator. Hands-on training is provided.
Position Summary:
The Estimating Coordinator primary responsibility is to support the Estimating & Sales Department to ensure our customers receive timely and accurate quotation proposals. This includes organizing and analyzing mechanical plans/specifications at the pre-bid stage so that we are providing an estimate with our full scope of HVAC products. Work with the sales teams to provide a bid strategy for target projects that puts us in the best position for success. Generate accurate material quotations from our complete line of HVAC equipment.
Our goal is to effectively promote sales of HVAC equipment in the commercial construction market and deliver unparalleled service to our customers.
Estimating Coordinating Job Responsibilities:
- Manage [email protected] inbox by uploading plans/specifications into SalesTracker
- Organize relevant mechanical plans, specifications, emails and quote requests into the Project folder
- Identify project size, products, and specified manufacturers that correlate to our scope of HVAC products
- Recognize products that need to be quoted by factories and call/email for pricing
- Set quote due date and coordinate with customers with any potential conflicts in bid dates
- Work with sales mentors to ensure quotes are reviewed in a timely manner
- Distribute quotations to all contractors/customers that requested bid proposal
- Identify and collaborate with sales team for target projects with equipment scope
- Interactive communication with Sales, factory reps and customer personal to facilitate a timely, accurate, strategic quotation
- Maintain quote template with updates to product scope and potential price increases
- Evaluate and send off projects to third party estimating takeoff company
- Estimate projects using manufacturer pricing software/data

Qualifications Job Qualification/Requirements:
Candidates must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Previous construction industry experience is preferred. Key competencies are initiative, communication, teamwork, and time management.
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree Required Business Administration or Construction Management
- HVAC Estimating: 2 Years Experience
- Possess strong analytical, organizational, communication, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Technically inclined to understand and explain construction project /scopes of work.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook - REQUIRED.
- Must be able to function well in a high-intensity, constant changing environment.
