Job description
ESPN Creative Studio is looking for a meticulously organized, strategic individual to help build our growing Social branded content & integration business. Reporting to the Manager, Social Ad Integration & Strategy, each day you’ll be challenged to blend creativity and sports knowledge to facilitate the development and distribution of industry-leading branded and integrated content for our partners that drives revenue and is seen by millions of sports fans.

Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of distribution for social ad campaigns and partnerships with on-air talent, as part of ESPN’s growing talent influencer strategy. This includes responsibility for all campaign tracking documents and distribution communication across internal and external groups, requiring the highest level of attention to detail.
Maintain a deep understanding of all social platforms, including the frequent product and algorithm changes, and how both impact the ability to create and distribute marketing content. Maintain a critical eye over content quality and brand tone.
Be the catalyst driving strategic partner solutions for branded and integrated content throughout the RFP process. Partner with Production and Creative resources across ESPN Creative Studio to support revenue driving projects.
Attend and participate in all necessary social editorial and ESPN Creative Studio meetings, including campaign brainstorms and kick-offs with external creative partners.
Participate in the RFP process by brainstorming and providing insights for creative writers/developers.
Educate others on social best practices.
Stay up to date on the latest social media tools and trends, including an understanding of how other companies are leveraging social for brand extensions.
Output subject to oversight by supervisors and peers to ensure audience interest, accuracy, and adherence to established editorial procedures and legal requirements.
Requirements:
Strong communication and organization skills.
1+ years’ experience in social media, social marketing, or a closely related field, with experience developing or managing content for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and/or YouTube, with a firm understanding of how each platform works.
Elite knowledge of the sports landscape, including current athletes, rules, and events.
Sound editorial judgment, writing and editing skills.
Sports take place on nights, weekends and holidays and those shifts will often be required.
Ability to react quickly and positively under pressure.
Appreciation for and understanding of pop culture.
Familiarity with ESPN’s content across multiple platforms
Commanding knowledge of social media trends Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, journalism, communications OR related field OR a high school diploma and a suitable combination of related training and experience.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience working with brands or agencies on social campaigns.
2+ years’ experience using video or photo editing software (e.g. Final Cut, After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop).
Experience tracking and reporting for paid Social campaigns.
Understanding of paid social across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, including ad products, emerging offerings and platform-specific functionalities.
Experience building presentations, both pitches and recaps, for leadership.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, journalism, communications OR related field OR a high school diploma and a suitable combination of related training and experience.
Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, broadcasting, communications or closely related field.

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $64,800.00 to $89,100.00 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Job tags
