Job Summary:
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our DX Technology & Digital team as a Manager, Technology for Disneyland Hotels. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery, implementation, and ongoing sustainment of technology solutions tailored to the unique needs of hotels within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of hospitality technology, project management, and a proven track record of driving successful technology initiatives in the hotel industry.
What you will do:
Project Delivery:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of technology projects for Disneyland Hotels, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SE, operations, and vendors, to drive successful project execution.
- Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and resource allocation for hotel technology initiatives.
Sustainment and Optimization:
- Implement robust sustainment processes to ensure the ongoing health and performance of technology solutions deployed in hotels.
- Proactively identify opportunities for technology optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate with support teams to address and resolve technology-related issues in a timely manner.
Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
- Evaluate and select vendors based on performance, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with business objectives.
- Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to ensure favorable terms for the organization.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with hotel management teams to understand their technology needs and priorities.
- Foster a collaborative environment with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment on technology initiatives.
- Provide regular updates and reports on project status, milestones, and key performance indicators.
Technology Strategy:
- Contribute to the development and execution of the overall technology strategy for the organization.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the hotel technology landscape.
What you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or Master's degree.
- 8+ years of development experience.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with high-scale architectures, patterns, and technologies, specifically Java and Event-Driven Architecture.
- Experience with Java/J2EE architectures.
- Experience working with cloud based architected systems and knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure.
- Experience creating architecture designs that incorporate resiliency and performance.
- Experience in a large media, technology or internet company.
- Success at achieving sophisticated technology goals on-time and on-budget.
- A comfort level with complex, matrixed organizations containing a certain amount of ambiguity.
- Experience leading teams supporting enterprise-scale solutions from both business and technical perspectives.
- Proven experience managing software development lifecycle platforms and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

The hiring range for this position in California is $ $156,700.00-$210,100.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
