Apple’s Product, Design, & Marketing team is growing to deliver new and engaging experiences across our Internal Tools. We are looking for a talented Product Designer to join our team to help reimagine the Apple Engineer experience. We are in search of someone with a deep understanding of the software engineering domain and has a passion for simplifying engineering workflows and experience. As part of this effort, you will help create a stunning, standardized, and easy-to-use, developer portal that becomes a crucial gateway for Apple Engineers to accomplish their day-to-day tasks and goals.
Key Qualifications
- A portfolio of work that showcases excellence in interaction design, visual design, and problem solving.
- Expertise designing large-scale enterprise, B2B, or data-rich internal tools. Prior experience designing software developer-facing portals or consoles is a plus.
- Outstanding ability to communicate your ideas to designers, engineers, product managers, and leadership through story telling, visuals, and presentations.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Able to confidently lead and present a design-first vision, balancing highly technical data constructs and demanding user requirements.
- 5+ years of design experience with a focus on large screen web, iOS, and macOS interfaces.
- Ability to clearly communicate concepts and designs through sketches, wireframes, high fidelity comps, and prototypes, using Sketch, Figma, Photoshop, Keynote, and similar tools.
- Expertise documenting interaction details, visual design specifications, and QA of the implemented product.
- Experience in handling several complex projects simultaneously.
- Flexible and comfortable with ambiguity and change during a project.

The candidate must have an eye for pixel perfect detail, and possess a strong blend of interaction and visual design skills. They also need to be proficient in conducting user research when needed, and have a thorough grasp over user-centered design principals. The applicant must have an affinity for consistency, color use, typography, and a keen eye for subtle details.
The position requires deliverables to be provided under tight deadlines and with input from many cross-functional stakeholders. Strong collaboration skills are a must, as well as calmness under pressure, and the ability to cope with rapid change. Above all, the role requires a dedicated individual who understands Apple’s high standards and design aesthetic to the core.
Education & Experience
BS/BA degree preferred or equivalent design experience.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $161,700.00 and $284,900.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
