Join Safelite as an Auto Glass Technician Trainee – the first step towards becoming a certified auto glass technician on a nationally recognized team of expert installers! We will provide you with training to install and repair auto glass, recalibrate car safety systems, and deliver exceptional service that creates lasting memories. And the best part? This is not your typical desk job! You will work outdoors, using your hands, and yes, that means having to adapt to different weather conditions.

As a Technician Trainee, you will:

• Get paid to learn and apprentice the Safelite way through practical and classroom training, which includes:
• Installing and repairing auto glass
• Recalibrating automotive safety systems
• Providing additional services and products
• Study and pass tests to become a Safelite-certified Technician, demonstrating your proficiency in installations, positive attitude, and adherence to taught techniques
• Safely operate a company vehicle and use company-issued tools throughout the workday

What you'll receive:

• Competitive weekly pay starting at $20.75/hour, increasing to $22.50/hour after training and certification
• Earn $5 per set of wiper blades when added for customer safety
• Potential for promotion in your first year! Earn up to $25.00/hour as a Senior Tech and up to $28.75/hour as a Master Tech. Your career progression will be based on performance metrics that reflect efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction
• Benefits package valued at over $10,000*. Includes 401(k) plan with company matching, medical plans, paid time off, holidays, and volunteer days
• Program to buy additional paid time off or sell unused time, up to 16 hours

What you'll need: (Not sure if you meet all the requirements? We encourage you to apply!)

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid state-issued driver's license required
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods
• Flexibility to work on scheduled days and accommodate customer's needs for start and end times
• Able to regularly lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent preferred; ability to read and write
