Job Description:
- Experience in Lighting is required.
- 3+ years of experience in Hardware Engineering, with a focus on Automotive domain.
- Strong knowledge of hardware design principles and experience with relevant design tools like Mathcad, CADENCE, Spice Simulation or similar.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations in the automotive sector.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop lighting electronics systems for automotive applications focus on customer requirements, system block diagrams, schematics creation, wire harnesses creation, PCB reviews, electronic bench testing, EMC pre-compliance and electronics manufacturing.
- Work with the team to define quote strategy, lighting system architectures, circuit standardization and technology definition.
- Implement best practices in hardware engineering and ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Proficient on circuit simulation, Worst Case Circuit Analysis, EMC pre-compliance testing, PCB prototyping, Technical Design Reviews, electronics bench testing, etc.
- Perform customer Design Reviews for design approvals.
- Understand and create action plans to meet programs milestones.
- Interface with OEMs as required to resolve design issues and/or promote new design concepts.
- Collaborate with global expert team to develop new electronic lighting systems.
- Work jointly with cross-functional teams, including software, optics, and mechanics engineers, to ensure seamless system integration.
- Oversee the hardware design, development, testing, and validation processes in Americas region.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant ISO26262 safety and regulatory standards.
- Develop DVP&R, DFMEA pertaining to electronics.
- Experience with ISO26262 HW development.
- Support cost reduction ideas and "Design to Cost" activities.
- Work with Electronics Manufacturing Suppliers during program launch.
