POSITION: Parking Cashier
DEPARTMENT: Finance
REPORTS TO: Sr. Staff Accountant
FLSA STATUS: Hourly Non-Exempt
Summary
ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Parking Cashier at the Shreveport Convention Center/Municipal Auditorium in Shreveport, Louisiana. Under direction of the Parking Cashier & Director of Finance, the Part Time Parking Cashier team member's primary responsibilities include the following functions in accordance with ASM policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operation of card transaction machine.
Counting of cash and providing accurate change on a timely basis.
Perform exceptional customer service.
Direct and assist patrons
Balance accountability of issued bank and cash received.
Ensure traffic does not back up by performing traffic director duties.
Report to work when scheduled, on time, in proper and clean uniform, including badge
Personal appearance and grooming must conform to TCC dress code.
Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Working Conditions
The working hours are scheduled based on the needs the facility. PART-TIME ON-CALL scheduling.
There is no guarantee of hours on a weekly basis.
Must have reliable transportation and be able to report to work as scheduled.
Maintain a client service oriented attitude.
Ability to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include day, evening, weekends and holidays and can work flexible schedules
Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older
Ability to read signs and follow simple oral and written instructions
Excellent customer service skills
Must be able to pass a background check to include a credit history report and meet corporate minimum requirements.
Education and/or Experience
H igh school diploma/GED preferred
One years' experience in a customer service environment
Six months experience in a retail or other cash-handling position
Skills and Abilities
Must be able to speak fluent English and communicate clearly with staff & workers.
Must be able to work assigned shifts including, nights, weekends & holidays as needed.
Work independently, exercising good judgment and initiative.
Follow all oral and written instructions including all policies/procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules/regulations and emergence procedures established at the facility.
Must have sufficient math ability and knowledge to accurately count and handle money at all times.
Must have basic working knowledge of cash handling procedure and have at least 1 year cash handling experience.
