Position Summary:UGA Cooperative Extension, Southeast District is seeking five (6) qualified applicants for a paid internship for college students to work in a county Extension office. Students will be matched with an agent in the county or region they prefer, if possible. The internship is a twelve-week employment, with a start date of May 13, 2024 – August 2, 2024, this internship does not include benefits but may earn college credits. It will be up to the student to work with the internship coordinator in their department to arrange for college credits.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position: Students currently enrolled at any college or university in an undergraduate or graduate program are eligible. Graduates may also apply for an internship during the semester immediately following graduation.
Interest in pursuing a career with UGA Cooperative Extension. Related majors may include agriculture, animal science, biological sciences, environmental science, child and family development, forestry, foods and nutrition, human development and family science, education, health promotion, natural resource management, and plant sciences.
